The following is the job description:
 
Portfolio Manager
 
Department: Asset Management Centre
Report to: VP, Head of Equities
 
Responsibilities:
* 1. Manage equity portfolios under guidance of AIA's investment mandates and philosophy and deliver results that meet/exceed company's objectives
* 2. Undertake full spectrum of portfolio management activities including portfolio construction and maintenance, performance monitoring & analysis and risk management
* 3. Train and develop research analyst(s) in equity research
* 4. Prepare regular management reports
* 5. Support investment marketing activities
* 6. Liaise with other departments as required
* 7. Undertake any other special projects as needed
Qualifications:
* - Preferably with a Master Degree
* - Computer skills (i.e. some basic programming skill is desirable but not critical);
* - Financing modeling skills;
* - CFA Charter holder/ CFA Candidate
* - Fluent in both Mandarin and English
*- More than 3 years of portfolio management experience from fund management companies/insurance companies/asset management companies focusing on China A share market.
* - Proven track record in portfolio management.
* - Strong analytical skill and numerical aptitude
* - Good interpersonal and communication skills
* - Strong team-player with ability to work under stress
